Our sleeves are green because every musician should know how to play “Greensleeves.” Also, we think our leaders shouldn’t be afraid to strong arm big changes.
What made you decide to do your bit for the environment?
Realizing that you can’t just sit around hoping that some future technology will save us all from ourselves.
What person or group do you most admire for their environmental commitment?
Local Food Plus. Who wants to choose between organic or local? It’s great to have someone pushing for both.
What is your environmental pet peeve? What do other people do (or not do) that drives you crazy?
Municipal planners plant a bunch of trees on city streets, but encase them in concrete so they’re dead in three years. Then you have a bunch of pathetic stumps to look at as a testament to their failure. If we want trees (and we do), do it right.
What could the whole world live without in order to help our environment?
Styrofoam and flavoured water.
What's in your Blue Box?
Fan mail – tons of it! No, actually. I’m sure most people think a musician’s blue box would be full of empty bourbon bottles or something, but it’s mostly just old newspapers.
Is there an environmental initiative you’re involved in that you’d like to highlight or promote?
Drink local beer. The best microbrews in the world are made within an hour of your front door. Why import it?
