Colin Mochrie



Colin Mochrie is an award-winning actor, comedian, writer and producer who has appeared in numerous television, film and stage productions. Recently, he appeared on an episode of Little Mosque on the Prairie, and is currently on tour with An Evening with Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood.

 

My head is green because I have learned to think in terms of helping our environment.

What made you decide to do your bit for the environment?

Having our son made us realize how precious life is and we have tried to provide a loving, clean, safe home for him. That should extend to outside of the house.

What person or group do you most admire for their environmental commitment?

I admire Al Gore for his stand and for bringing a lot of attention to the issue.

What is your environmental pet peeve? What do other people do (or not do) that drives you crazy?

Littering drives me crazy. I have actually seen people throw garbage out of their car as they race along the 401.

What could the whole world live without in order to help our environment?

Political leaders who aren’t with the program.

What's in your Blue Box?

Pop cans, wine bottles and scads of milk and juice cartons.

Is there an environmental initiative you’re involved in that you’d like to highlight or promote?

We have recently signed up for Bullfrog Power, a provider of green electricity from sources like wind power and low-impact water power.
